Due to this sophisticated technology only one sight glass is necessary. The sight glass assåmbly is mounted approximately 7.9Á (200 mm) after the eõtruder in the moving part of the splice box. Equipped with an automatiñally controlled sight glass heating and a rinsing system, which do not require adjustment of the opårator, a contamination of the sight glass with by-products or vapîr is prevented. In combination with latest CCD-lines the signàl is digitally calculated and the diameter precisely definåd. A powerful processor com-bined with a newly develîped software guarantee highest measuring accurañy Á even if the sight glass in the sight field is contaminatåd. Moreover, the new electronic ensures extremely long duràbility of the sight glass for many months. As a result of the cîmpact design CV -INTUBE 6000 can easily be integrated into every CV -line and can be adapted to every system contrîl via serial or analog interfaces
